I'm not sure what Pocket Casts changed because every other major app plays nicely with Google / Apple Maps with identical hardware. There have been multiple threads: this bug ONLY occurs with Pocket Casts' implementation of Bluetooth & navigation. After countless Pocket Casts and iOS updates, this bug remains: I've stopped listening to Pocket Casts when I need navigation, which is frustrating for an app I paid for. Pocket Casts used to work, too, but some months ago, it broke down.
This is not a "Bluetooth device problem" because every other major app (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.) works with the same hardware. Google Maps / Apple maps mutes the podcast ( no vocal navigation is heard) Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music resume playback Google Maps / Apple Maps mutes the music & gives vocal navigation Spotify / YouTube / Apple Music are playing
